Woodrow Miles

Woodrow Miles was born in Ashland, KY on September 5, 1919, Mr Miles died on March 20, 2013 at the age of 93. Mr. Miles was retired from the US Army as a Chief Warrant Officer and also retired from Civil Service having served at Wright Patterson Air Force Base Civil Engineering. Mr. Miles spent more than 38 years in service to his country. Mr. Miles was a survivor of Pearl Harbor and many campaigns during WWII that encompassed much of the European theater. Mr. Miles also saw combat during the Korean War, and, had he not retired in 1961, would have gone to Vietnam. Mr. Miles was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Wanda in 2000. He was also preceded in death by his second wife Rosetta in 2012. Mr. Miles is survived by his three sons Mike (Joyce), Mark (Cheryl), Marty (Debbie). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren Brian, Melissa, Holly, Jennifer, Rebecca, Alex and Zachary. Mr. Miles is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
