William Harvey Spoonmore

William "Harvey" Spoonmore, 88, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, July 25, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. Born in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Joseph Spoonmore and Bertha Owen-Spoonmore. He retired from GM after 30 years of service. As an active member of the New Lebanon community, he enjoyed his time coaching the E-Class baseball team. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife Louise Spoonmore on November 14, 2011 whom he married December 1, 1951; son Ronald Spoonmore, Sr. on September 1, 2011; and by 6 brothers and 4 sisters. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and brother, Harvey is survived by daughters Deborah Norman of Centerville, OH and Pamela Spoonmore of New Lebanon; grandsons Ronald Spoonmore, Jr. of New Lebanon; Brian Norman & wife Kathryn of Centerville; Christopher Norman & wife Jill of Cincinnati and Jason Norman of Winston-Salem; great grandchildren Linley and Laila Spoonmore of Brookville, Jackson and Anna Norman of Centerville; special friend Paul Norman of Centerville; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria; with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Pastor Jerry Carter will officiate.
