William L. Petty

William L. Petty, 83, of West Chester, OH, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Hospice of Hamilton. Born June 27, 1937 in Richmond, IN, he was the son of the late Howard Leroy Petty and Ruby Rosetta (Coleman) Petty. Bill served with the US Navy from June 1955 - June 1958 and had worked for over 40 years in the Boilermakers Union. He was the loving father of Darren Lee (Dianne) Petty, Terry Curtis Petty and Shawn William (Barbara) Petty; cherished grandfather of Rachel (Shaughn) Galvin, Jake (MaKayla) Petty, Erin Petty, Sydney Petty and Casey Petty; step grandfather of Ally Frank, John Frank, Kelly Koenig, Kyle Morris, and Karly Morris; great grandfather of Abel and Beau Petty; step great grandfather of Liam Morris; and dear brother of Norma Jean (Petty) Smith. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Steve Whalen officiating. Following the funeral service, Military Honors will be presented at the graveside (Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery) by members of the Preble County Honor Guard.
