William E. Lightner

William E. Lightner, age 86 of Eaton, Ohio was called home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, October 16, 2015 at his home. Born April 13, 1929 he was a son to the late Roy and Matilda (Denlinger) Lighnter . William worked in construction, and after many years of being self-employed and doing freelance work, he retired. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Suzanne Worchester and sister-in-law Bernice Lightner. William is survived by his wife of 67 years, Leona F. (Hanning) Lightner, whom he married in June of 1948: son William L. Lightner (Duare) of New Paris, OH: daughters Pamela J. Southard of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI; Mickie S. Morrison (David) of Horn Lake, MS; Beth A. McCarten (Terry) of Farmersville, OH and Janet T. Moorman and friend Marty Alphin of Horn Lake, MS: brother " J.R." Lightner of Brookville, OH: sister-in-law Sharon Bishop (Jack) of California: as well as 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Friends may call on the family from 10:00-11:00 am Thursday October 22, 2015 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
