William C. Barnhill, 81, formerly of Preble County, of Gaston, IN, passed away suddenly on early Sunday morning, February 21, 2021. Born June 25, 1939 in Grayson, KY, he was the son of the late William Barnhill and Evelyn (Belew) Brown. A graduate of Pritchard High School in Grayson, he served with the US Navy from 1956 - 1960. He was the owner and sales person of several businesses including DynaGym in Illinois, Night Finder Sign Company in Preble County, Kiddie Kuts Hair Salon in Dayton, Barnhill Trucking in Preble County, and later in life sold insurance. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death on February 13, 2018 by wife Janet E. (Swafford) Barnhill and brother Jesse Barnhill. Survived by children William T. (Missy) Barnhill and Malia (Todd) Angell all of Camden; grandsons William A. Smith, William T. Barnhill, Jr., and Jesse Barnhill; great grandchildren Abby, Addison and Grayson; sisters Paula Landis and Garnet; brother Tyrone Barnhill Everman; special niece and nephew Teressa Barnhill and Clinton Barnhill, along with other nieces and nephews; and fiance Dorothy Marvell of Gaston. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center - 3377 US Rt. 35, West Alexandria, OH. Pastor Jeff Bridgeford presiding.
