Willard F. Kirchhofer

83, of Brookville, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 after a brief illness.

He was born July 2, 1938 in Wooster, Ohio to the late Roy A. and Velma M. (Baumgartner) Kirchhofer. Willard married his sweetheart, Pauline Kirchhofer on May 6, 1967, and she preceded him in death on September 29, 2017 after 50 years of marriage.

After marrying, he and Pauline moved to Orville, Ohio where they started a family. There, they raised their sons Gary and Mark. After the boys were grown and on their own, Pauline and Willard moved to Winfield, Alabama, where they could be closer to her family. They stayed in Winfield for 19 years, before moving to New Lebanon to be near their sons and their families. Willard never met a stranger and would often witness to people the goodness of knowing the Lord.  He had an infectious laugh and enjoyed listening to gospel music.

In addition to his parents and wife, Willard was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Baugh.

He is survived by sons, Gary Kirchhofer, and wife Marcia of Brookville, Ohio and Mark Kirchhofer and wife Beverly of New Lebanon, Ohio: grandchildren Hannah, Josiah and Elijah Kirchhofer, and Audra and Emma Kirchhofer; brother-in-law, Charles Baugh; and nephew, John Holley, Jr.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 27 from 10-11AM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, 3377 US Route 35 East, West Alexandria 45381.  The memorial service will begin at 11AM with son and Pastor, Mark Kirchhofer officiating.
