Walter L. "Butch" Buehler

Walter L."Butch"Buehler , 69 of West Alexandria, OH, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday afternoon, June 20, 2014. He was a son of the late Carl Eugene and Martha (Muller) Buehler. Butch served with the US Army from September 1965-September 1967. He retired as Head Custodian after 25 years of service, in April, 2013 from the Dayton Board of Education. A faithful member of the First Baptist Church in New Lebanon for over 40 years and a member of the NRA. Walt enjoyed fishing, loved to play golf, and was an avid hunter. He especially enjoying hunting with his son Lee, who was his best friend. The light of Walt's life were his children and later in life his grandchildren . He enjoyed traveling and visiting new places with special friends, and had opportunity to travel to Germany, France and England. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Infant sister: brother Carl Buehler: brother- in- law Bill Knox: and niece Pamela Knox. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra S. (Nelson) Buehler whom he married June 10, 1967: children Lee Buehler and wife Brenda of West Alexandria; daughter Michelle Buehler of West Alexandria: grandchildren Hunter Nicole Buehler, Melissa Payton, Christopher and Bryan Blinn, Jordan and Dylan Kemp: great-granddaughter Ally Asher: sisters Helen Wollenhaupt of Murray, Utah; and Martha Knox Stanfill & husband Lonnie of Dayton: brothers Eugene Buehler of New Lebanon and William Buehler & wife Nancy of West Alexandria: also many nieces and nephews whom loved Uncle Butch dearly, as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Friends may call on the family from 3:00 - 5:00 pm Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the First Baptist Church-335 S. Church Street -New Lebanon. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 pm with Pastors Terri Smith and Trent Smith presiding. Arrangements entrusted to Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center, West Alexandria.
