Virginia Brookshire

Virginia M. Brookshire, 81, of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, March 7, 2012 at her home. Born July 25 in Dayton, OH, she was a daughter of the late Julius & Alvena (Menker) Farno. A 1948 graduate of Monroe High School, she retired from the Housekeeping Department of the Preble County Home. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death on February 25, 2003 by husband William D. Brookshire: son Billy Joseph Brookshire in 1952: granddaughter Jaime Jo Mason in 1977: great grandson Andrew Steinberger in 2007: and brother Jerome Farno. Survived by children Agnes Jean (George) Preston of Eldorado, OH; Mary Jane Allen of Eaton; Betty Jo (Larry) Mason of Indianapolis, IN; James J. (Judy) Brookshire of Eaton; Nancy J. (Jerry) Mikesell of New Paris, OH; Carolyn J. (Mike) Tobias of West Chester, OH; Darrell J. Brookshire of Eaton; Pauletta J. (Randy) Parks of New Paris; and Peggy J. (Greg) Isaacs of Eaton: numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren: sisters and brothers Anna Marie Rufener ; Jeanette Jesse; Paul Farno; and Carl Farno all of Eaton. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Pastor Ronald Baker presiding. Friends may call on the family from 4:00 - 8:00 Friday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Reid Hospice or the Eaton Rescue Squad.
