Tommy Thompson

57, of New Lebanon, joined the angels of his loved ones and friends in Heaven, Saturday June 24, 2023.

He was born February 23, 1966, in Dayton, to Gene and Carol Thompson.

Tommy was preceded in death by his dad.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Thompson; daughter, Jeannie (Chris Strike) Thompson; siblings, Robert “Robbie” (Jessica) Thompson and Denise “Neicy” McTeer; and many other family and friends.

Tommy was a force of nature, a whirlwind of energy and enthusiasm that could light up any room he entered. His boisterous laughter and infectious smile were his trademarks, bringing joy to those around him. He possessed an unmatched ability to turn even the dullest moments into lively adventures, filling the air with laughter and a sense of excitement. We will forever cherish the memories of his wild escapades and the stories that made us laugh until our bellies ached.

Tommy was an enthusiast of outlaw country, finding solace and inspiration in its raw, authentic lyrics and rebellious spirit. The music spoke to him on a profound level, echoing his own untamed nature and lust for life. Whether he was cruising down the open road or simply savoring quiet moments of reflection, the timeless melodies of George Jones and other outlaw country artists became the soundtrack of his existence.

Beneath his loud and crazy exterior, Tommy had a heart overflowing with love and kindness. He had an unwavering devotion to his family and friends, always there to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting embrace. Tommy's generosity knew no bounds; he gave selflessly, not only in material things but in the boundless love he showered upon those he cared about. His ability to make everyone feel valued and loved created a special bond that will endure long after his passing.
