Timothy Benson

Timothy D. Benson, age 53, of Eaton, OH, passed into eternity on Friday night, May 20, 2011, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 22, 1957, he was a son to the late Edward T. & Katie M. (Phelps) Benson. He served two years with the US Navy from 1978 - 1980 and three years with the US Army from 1980 - 1983. He had worked 11 ½ years as a machine operator for AK Steel in Middletown. Tim loved to sing karaoke and take day and weekend motorcycle trips with his wife. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Gale Benson. A loving and caring husband and father, he is survived by his wife Holly R. (Graves) Benson whom he married June 6, 2009: children Sarah, Christopher, Gregory, Katie and Timmy: brothers and sisters Kathy Schwartz, Gerald Benson, Karen Schmil, Melba Wyatt and Wilbur "Lenny" Benson: numerous nieces and nephews: best friend Jeff; and a host of friends. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Burke presiding. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Interment Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
