Theresa Chappel

Theresa G. Chappel, age 89. Of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, February 19, 2011 at her home. Born September 22, 1921 in Lewisburg, OH, she was a daughter to the late E. Ross & Verdonia L. (House) Ford. She retired in 1986 after 33 years as a telephone operator for United Telephone Co. Member of Grace Lutheran Church in Eaton, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Church and had volunteered with Lutheran Social Services and Food Bank. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death on October 16, 1982 by husband Paul E. Chappel: son Dale E. Chappel on April 2, 1979: and sister Doris Fudge. Survived by children David P. Chappel & wife Joyce of Eaton; Debra J. Chappel of Eaton; Daryl Eli Chappel of Eaton: former daughter-in-law Connie Johnson & husband Mel of Gratis, OH: grandchildren Jason Chappel & wife Shannon; Amy Chappel & fiancé Jake Gregory; Jaime Chappel; Tara Johnson; and Lyle Johnson: great grandchildren Daniel, Gabriel, Kyla, Kayden, Kameron, Aubrey and Andrew. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Monday and 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Tuesday at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Pastors Lowell T. Spencer and Warren Reichert presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Social Services.
