Terry Lee Ruby
Eaton – Terry L Ruby, 67, died unexpectedly November 4, 2022 at The Dayton VA Hospital.
He was born February 1, 1955 in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of James Ruby and Betty Winkler Ruby.
Terry graduated from Eaton High School, Class of 1974. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Army, in Virginia for 3 years active duty and 3 years reserve duty. He married his wife, Beverly Hildreth Ruby, of New Lebanon. They celebrated 46 years of marriage November of 2021.
Terry was a loyal member of the New Lebanon Church of the Nazarene, where he was known as the “Candy Man” by the young and old alike.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws Byron and Retha Hildreth and stepfather John Coons. Surviving, in addition to his wife Bev Ruby, are his stepmother: Ona Coons of Eaton, 5 sisters: Patty Bowling, Donna (Jimmy) Parker, Brenda (Steve) Desiletes, Melissa (Robert) Bachmann, and Sherry (Steve) Archer. Two brothers: James Ruby and Scott (Pam) Ruby. Along with many nieces and nephews.
Terry’s hobbies included woodworking, golf, softball, and watching his Cincinnati Reds. Terry worked for Champion Paper for 23 years and then, Smart Papers for 8 more.
Visitation will be from 11: 00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10th at Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A service of remembrance with Pastor Thomas Clark officiating will be at 1:00 p.m., Interment will immediately follow at Preble Memory Gardens.
