Teresa A. Howington

Teresa Hissong Pence Howington, 61, of Ithaca, OH, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 following a 10 month illness. Born August 5, 1957, she was the daughter of William and Ruth (Reid) Hissong. A member of the Open Bible Church in Ithaca, she was deeply in love with her whole family. Teresa worked as a CNC operator at the TimkinSteel, St. Clair plant in Eaton, and enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and crochet. Survived by her husband Horace Howington whom she married September 16, 2008; children Sarann Pence of Itaca, Rebekah Wilson of Ithaca and John Pence of Fountain City, IN; grandchildren Quentin, Matthew, Carson, Harmony and Kaylie; mother Ruth Stubblefield; sisters and brothers Judy Hissong Meyer and husband David of Ithaca, Donna Bromford of Dayton, Bud Combs and wife Connie of Eaton, Regina Pease and husband Ron of New Lebanon, Tracy Rake of Tennessee, and Ronald Stubblefield and wife Kim of Urbana; father of Teresa's children Ernie Pence; along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Friends may call on the family from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Sunday at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home with Pastor David Fox presiding. Teresa would want all who attend the visitation and service to dress comfortable and casual. Jeans are welcome. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
