Susanne Borgwardt

84, of Eaton, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 29, 2023.

She was born April 30, 1939, in Eaton, to the late Chalmer W. and Susie M. (Homan) Wehrley.

In addition to her parents, Susanne was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Benge and Kenneth Borgwardt; and brothers, Herbert and William Wehrley.

She is survived by her children, Jack (Delores) Ruby, Teresa (Curtis) MacDonald, Cheryl (Douglas) Dole, and Daryl (Carmela) Benge; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Her presence was a true blessing and a powerful testimony to all those fortunate enough to have known her. Susanne's radiant spirit touched countless lives, and her boundless love and faith were a source of inspiration for everyone she encountered.

Susanne had a remarkable gift for connecting with people. She possessed an innate ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, as if they were long-lost friends. She never met a stranger, her warm smile and open heart embraced all who crossed her path. Whether it was a comforting hug, a listening ear, or a simple word of encouragement, Susanne had an extraordinary way of making people feel seen, heard, and loved.

Susanne's impact extended far beyond her personal connections. As a former member of the Eaton and Camden Church of God, she possessed a deep and unwavering faith that served as a guiding light throughout her life. Her prayers were not limited to those close to her; she had a habit of lifting up anyone in need, no matter their circumstances. Susanne believed in the power of prayer and never hesitated to intercede for the well-being and happiness of others. Her selfless devotion to others was a true testament to her character and the depth of her compassion.

A visitation will be held Monday, July 3, from 11AM to 1PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CEMETERY, 3377 US Route 35 East, West Alexandria, 45381.  The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Rev. Bill Puckett officiating.  Burial will follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Alexandria.
