Susan “Jane” Thompson

Susan "Jane" Thompson, 70, of Celina, OH and formerly of New Lebanon, OH, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 following a lengthy illness.Born March 13, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Orville Mills and Vivian (Murray) Terry. Jane retired as a cook after many years with New Lebanon Public Schools. She was a member of VFW Post 3288, American Legion Post 210 and Moose Chapter 388. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by beloved husband Gary Thompson, whom she married December 4, 1970. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Tammy (Peffly) and Joe Mize of New Lebanon; grandson Andrew Peffly of New Lebanon; granddaughters Aprill Hanna and husband Zach of Dayton, Samantha Tilton and husband Joey of New Lebanon, and Marissa Romans of Michigan; sister Cheryl Ruxer and husband Gary of Xenia; brothers Ron Terry and wife Donna of Eaton, and Don Terry of Atlanta, GA; and great grandsons Ryker and Jack. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with burial following at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley.
