Susan Kay Miller

Susan Kay Miller, 78, of West Manchester, OH, passed away early Thursday morning, April 29, 2021. Born March 3, 1943 in Greenville. OH, she was the daughter of the late Chalmer and Joanne (Martin) Mowery. She was a 1961 graduate of Greenville High School and then worked for several years at a Liberal Markets Grocery Store in Dayton. She formerly attended Ginghamsburg Church and previously the Castine Church of the Brethren. Over the years she came to enjoy watching sports, and became a fan of Nascar drivers Jeff Gordan and Jimmie Johnson, rodeo, the Indianapolis Colts, Penn State football and baseball. She and her future husband first met in 1963 while she was working at the grocery store. Susan K. Mowery and Larry G. Miller were married on January 7, 1967 and spent 54 wonderful years together as husband and wife. Susan is also survived by children Rob (Jennifer) Miller of McComb, OH, Amy (Chris) Vanderhorst of Beavercreek, and Joe (Shelah) Miller of Tipp City; grandchildren Cara (Keith) Goldy, Krista (Derek) Boone, Emma Miller, Katelin Miller and Meghan Miller. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center - 3377 US Rt. 35 E., West Alexandria, OH. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with Nancy Boedecker officiating. Burial in Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Alexandria.
