Sue Ellen Norvell

Sue Ellen Norvell, 79, of Hollansburg, OH, and formerly of Dayton, OH, passed away early Sunday morning, January 4, 2015. Born February 17, 1935 in Marietta, OH, she was the daughter of the late James S. & Doris E. (Logston) Humston. She had worked as a seamstress for over 25 years for Henry's Discount House of Fashion in Dayton. Sue was an artistic person whom enjoyed drawing, painting, crochet and knitting. She loved to cook and had both a love and compassion for her cats. Preceded in death on December 18, 2014 by husband Ronald E. Norvell whom she married in June of 1983: brother Shepard "Shep" McIntosh Humston in 2004: and step grandchildren Tony and Malisa Lyons. Sue is survived by son Joe Vandergrift of New Lebanon, OH: step children Terry Norvell & wife Danetta of Hollansburg; Lynn Wright & husband Cecil of Dayton; Rhonda Wright & companion Mike Pressel of Moraine, OH: grandchildren Brandy and Candy Vandergrift: step grandchildren Aaron, Wesley and Bonnie Wright, Christy Howard and Nicole Rose. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 pm Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
