Shirley A. Phelps

Shirley A. Phelps, 71, of Eaton, Ohio, passed into eternity on Sunday evening, August 18, 2019. Born December 22, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Violet (Neuman) Phelps. She worked several years as a custodian and helped maintain the I-70 rest area near the Ohio - Indiana line. She loved gospel music and was a former member of the Eaton Eagles. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers James and Robert Phelps and close friend Marjorie Mowen. Shirley is survived by son William R. Gross, Jr. of Eaton; sister Mary Abner of Eaton; and close friend Mary Larson of Eaton. Graveside services will begin at 11:00 AM Friday, August 23, 2019 at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Arrangements entrusted to Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center.
