Shirley (Willis) Oswald

Shirley, F. Oswald, 75, of Eaton, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, September 5, 2011. Born in Wolfe County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Clarence D. & Ethel (Johnson) McCloud. To Shirley, her family and her Church were her life. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was a longtime dedicated member of the Gratis United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by daughter Deborah Hamblin on July 1, 2011; brothers Herman, C.D., and Gerald McCloud: and sister Mildred Preston. Survived by husband Karl L. Oswald of Eaton, whom she married January 14, 1983: son & daughter-in-law Donald "Jeff" & Gayle Willis of Eaton: step children Thomas Oswald of Plain City, OH and Beverly (Michael) Schmidt of Miamisburg, OH: grandchildren Brandy (Eric) Green, Heather (Dustin) Pegg, Noah Hamblin, and Abigail Oswald: 8 great grandchildren: son-in-law David Hamblin: brothers and sisters Paul McCloud of Florida; Reva Hensley of Monroe, OH; Jean Stine of Eaton; Joy Michael of Middletown, OH; and Danny McCloud of Miamisburg. A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the Gratis United Methodist Church - 11 S. Ada Doty St. - Gratis, OH. Pastor Gary Wood presiding.
