Ruby M. (Barnett) Ruebush
93, of New Hope, went Home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
She was born May 31, 1931, in Dayton, to the late Thomas and Dorothy (Boehringer) Barnett.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Norman Ruebush; son, Pete Ruebush; and siblings, Thomas Barnett, Dottie Watson, Hazel Kuhn, Robert Barnett, James Barnett, and Richard Barnett.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Stephen) Worrell; grandchildren, Mandy (Ryan) Miller, Rebecca Worrell, Joshua Ruebush, and Shawn Ruebush; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Barb (Casey) Jones; special niece, Amy (David) Dommett; and many more family and friends.
Ruby was a gifted seamstress and quilter whose hands worked magic with fabric and thread. Her beautiful creations, crafted with care and precision, will be cherished by family and friends for generations.
When she wasn’t sewing or quilting, Ruby found joy in her flower and vegetable gardens. Her green thumb transformed her yard into a vibrant oasis of color and life, reflecting her nurturing spirit. Ruby’s gardens were not just a testament to her skill but also a place where she found peace and fulfillment.
Ruby’s love for her home was evident in everything she did. It was a place filled with love, laughter, and the smell of fresh-baked goods. Her home was a sanctuary where family and friends always felt welcome and cherished.
A private service will be held at a later date.
