Rose Clifford-Cabaniss

Rose Clifford-Cabaniss, age 89, of West Alexandria, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, January 27, 2011. Rose was born April 10, 1921 in Stearns, KY, a daughter to the late Luther & Katherine (Cox) Godsey. She was a member of the Eaton Church of the Brethren and belonged to the Fellowship Sunday School Class. She had previously worked 18 years in the Candy Department at the Salem Mall store for Rike's Department Stores and enjoyed flower gardening, socializing and playing cards. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death on May 10, 1986 by husband Don L. Clifford: son Thomas C. Clifford in November of 1994: brother Frank Godsey: sisters Alice Duncan; Agnes Fugate; Helen Morgan; and Irene Fugate. Survived by husband Everett D. Cabaniss whom she married January 28, 1995: son Timothy W. Clifford & wife Ann of Apopka, FL: step children Terry L. Cabaniss & wife Betty of Eaton, OH; Connie J. Elliott & husband Michael of Dayton, OH; and Carol C. Hake & husband Thomas of Okeana, OH: 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren: sister Dora Mae Binkley of Dayton: numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Eaton Church of the Brethren - 813 Camden Road - Eaton. Pastor Stan VanAusdal presiding. Friends may call on the family from 2:00 - 5:00 PM Sunday at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH.
