Robert W. Wigger Jr.

Robert W. Wigger, Jr., 84, of Union, OH and formerly of Preble County, OH, passed away suddenly on Friday morning, November 27, 2020. Born November 6, 1936 in Eaton, he was the son of the late Robert William Wigger, Sr., and Nona Jane (Rexrode) Wigger. Robert served with the US Navy from 1954 - 1958. A member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 24 for 40 years, he had worked at Tibbits Corporation and Rieck Mechanical Corporation both of Dayton. He was a longtime, active member of Christian Life Center. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother James Wigger. Survived by wife of nearly 61 years, Marilyn J. (Bradley) Wigger, whom he married January 30, 1960; children Daniel Alan Wigger of Union, Michael Robert Wigger of Dayton, and Stephanie Jane Hergenrather of Boise, Idaho; grandsons David Hergenrather and wife Emma, Jason Hergenrather and wife Maya, and Alexander Hergenrather all of Boise; brother Paul Allen Wigger and wife Connie of Eaton; and 4 nieces. Friends may call on the family from 12:30 - 1:30 pm Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35, West Alexandria, OH. The funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton (Ohio Hospice).
