Robert Roger Saunders

73, of Pitsburg, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

He was born December 8, 1948, the son of the late E. Emmet and Icie (Summers) Saunders of West Virginia.

Robert was married May 19, 1967 to the late Loretta Gaye (Landers) Saunders for 54 years.

He is survived by his children, John F. Saunders and wife, Melissa of West Manchester, Ohio, Kevin R. Saunders and wife, Toni of Arcanum, Ohio, and Rachel L. Lewis and husband, Charles “Chuck” of Eaton, Ohio; grandchildren, Taylor (Saunders) Loranzan and husband, Jacob, Tori Saunders, Hunters Saunders, Jordan Lewis, and Cameron Lewis; great grandchild, Clayton John Loranzan; sisters, Lena Knipp and Sue McClanahan; and brothers, Kermit Saunders and Kenny Saunders.

Robert loved listening to bluegrass music and deer hunting.  Spending time with family and time at his cabin in West Virginia “passing wind,” were just a few of the things he also enjoyed.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 3 from 11AM to 1PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, 3377 US Route 35 East, West Alexandria 45381.  The funeral service will begin at 1PM with burial to follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
