Robert J. Cole

Robert J. Cole, 88, of West Alexandria, OH passed away Tuesday morning, February 23, 2021. Born June 6, 1932 in Eaton, OH, he was a son of the late Raymond C. and Ethel Marie (Brescher) Cole. He served with the US Marine Corp in the Korean War from 1951-1952, and was discharged after his brother James was killed in the war. Bob retired after 35 years from Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors. A dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, there wasn't much he couldn't or wouldn't do for his family. He married his sweetheart Lovella Arnett on April 13, 1956. Together they raised four children, had 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother James R. Cole; sisters Betty J. McClellan, Marjorie M. Johnson and Sue Ellen Fox. Survived by his wife of nearly 65 years Lovella; children JoAnne Thomson and husband Bob of Beavercreek, Robert Jeffrey Cole of West Alexandria, Lori J. Brannon and husband Mark of West Alexandria, and Neil Scott Cole and wife Katherine of Farmville, VA; grandchildren Robert, Brooke, Victoria, Ashley, Samantha, Chelsea, Tonya, Taylor, Erin and Cloe; great grandchildren Nathan, Mitchell, Luke, Zander, Aubrey, Kenzie, Wyatt, Hailee, Dexter, Lillith, Levi, Elijah and Ezra; sister Mary Jo Fields of Mason, OH. Friends may call on the family from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center - 3377 US Rt. 35, West Alexandria.
