Robert N. Coffman

Robert Neil Coffman, age 81 passed away peacefully on February 2 at Hospice of Dayton. Bob is survived by this devoted wife of 61 years Janet (Holp); his children Janeil (Keith), Scott (Sheree) and Jill; his grandchildren Holly, Chad, Nicole (Scott), Richard (Danielle), Carlee, Zach, Jordan, John, Cameron and Caleb; his great-grandchildren Makayla, Skyler, Lucas, Kylie, Ethan, Ryleigh, Kenzie, Wyatt, Brayden, Riley and Cadence; two brothers Gary and Butch; and many relatives and friends. United with those who went before him: his parents, three sisters, one brother and his granddaughter, Jodi. He served in the United States Army in Korea, a proud veteran and lifetime member of the American Legion Post #7062. After serving in the Army, Bob worked at NCR for 17years, he spent the next several years painting for different companies and locally, and eventually retired from Sinclair Community College as function coordinator in 1997. Bob believed in God, his family, his Country and his sobriety. A member of Slifers Presbyterian Church for 60 years, and sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 32 years. He loved golf, fishing and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 pm Saturday, February 7 at Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center, with a memorial service at 4:00 pm and burial to follow at Holp Cemetery, Farmersville, Ohio. If desired, donate to your special charity in Bob's name, or to Hospice of Dayton.
