Robert James Berry, 57, of Pueblo, CO and formerly of Preble County, OH, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at University Medical Center in Denver, Co. Born August 16, 1963 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Jack V. and Helen E. (Yocum) Berry. He was a 1983 graduate of National Trail High School, where he played both baseball and football. Following graduation, he joined the US Army in August of 1983 and served with distinction. He was an Infantry Man for nearly 3 years, earning the Army Achievement Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters and 2 Overseas Ribbons, and was discharged in May of 1990. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Jack Berry in 2003 and Rick Berry in 2008. Robert is survived by his daughter Dakota Berry of Pueblo, CO ; sisters Teresa Hoskins and husband Rick of Camden, OH, Helen I. Geeding of Greenville, OH, Lillian D. Berry of St. Mary's, OH, Kelly L. Harbaum of Celina, OH, and James R. Berry of Springboro, OH; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Pastor Ken Harbaum will officiate. Following the service, Military honors will be provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Robert will be laid to rest beside his parents. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn. or the American Red Cross. Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center.
