Robert Gene Arnett

Robert Gene Arnett, age 91, of New Paris, OH, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at his home. Born on August 31, 1927 in Palestine, OH, he was the oldest of 8 children born to the late Lester and Nellie (Upton) Arnett. A 1945 graduate of Jefferson High School in New Paris., he worked at the Richmond Gear Works for 40 years and H & S Screw Products. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter Teri E. Newman; a stillborn brother in 1929; sister Ruth Lavonne in 1942; brothers Lester Duane Arnett and Myron Dwight Arnett. Survived by wife of 67 years Barbara E. ( Michael) Arnett; sons Ted Arnett of New Paris and Tom Arnett of Richmond, IN; son-in-law Dale Newman of Eaton, OH; granddaughter Tracie (Todd) Steele of New Paris, grandson Matthew (Melissa) Newman of Eaton; great grandchildren Abby and Natalie Steele, Hayley, Brady and Barry Newman: brother James (Mary Ann) Arnett of New Paris; and sisters Janice Miller of Greenfield, IN and Janet (Stanley) Arthur of Eaton. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery - 3377 US Rt. 35; West Alexandria, OH. Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L.
