Rita A. Columbe

Rita A. Columbe, age 88 of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Wednesday October 4, 2017. Born August 3, 1929 she was a daughter to the late August & Matilda (Harting) Ferdelman. Rita worked many years as a book-keeper and retired from the City of Dayton. She enjoyed reading, the outdoors, and spending time with family. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and sister. She will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Delores Romie. Survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas Columbe whom she married on May 23, 1953: children Frank & Jill Columbe of Dayton, OH; Bill & Tammy Columbe of New Lebanon, OH; Bernie Columbe & Wendy Niederlander of Farmersville, OH; Therese Columbe & James Wilder of Miamisburg, OH; Marilyn & Tony Wyatt of West Carrollton, OH: 11 grandchildren: 14 great-grandchildren: siblings Mary Szanto of Dayton; Frank Ferdelman of Union, OH; Elizabeth (Linus) Fiely of Alabama; brother-in-law Don Romie of Dayton: as well as many more friends and family members.
