Ricky Z. McQueen, age 60, of West Alexandria, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, October 29, 2011 at his home, following an extended illness. Rick was born in Oneida, KY, he was the son of the late Bruce & Emma (Banks) McQueen. A 1971 graduate of Twin Valley South, he worked as a truck driver for Rumpke for 12 years and for Emerson Freight for 10 years. He was a Civil War enthusiast and loved outdoor cooking, fishing and working on clocks. Member of the Eaton First Church of God. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, Rick had a gentle spirit that was seen by all who knew him. He was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by wife Dinah D. (Carr) McQueen whom he married January 1, 1972: sons Jason McQueen & wife Sharon of West Alexandria, and their children Maddyn and Gage; James K. McQueen & wife Kelly of Eaton, OH and their children Jayda and Jacey: mother-in-law & father-in-law Margaret & George Carr: a host of other family and numerous friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Eaton First Church of God - 601 E. Lexington Rd. - Eaton, OH. Pastors Jeremy Halstead and Jerry Reynolds presiding. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Church. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley or the Eaton First Church of God.
