57, of New Lebanon, suddenly passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

She was born June 30, 1967, in Dayton, to the late Sammy W. and Donna Fay (Sigler) Rice.

In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by her son, Shane Overholtz; daughter, Kristi Back; stepson, Clinton Back; and aunt, Beverly Tamplin.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Douglas Back; sons, Nathan Overholtz and Sammy Wayne Back; stepdaughter, Mandy Lynn Eastridge; grandchildren, Cole, Cayden, Keaton, and Parker; brother, Frank Rice; uncles and aunts, Mike and Bonnie Holderman and Jim and Lois Crawford; niece, Ashley Rice; mother-in-law, Nancy Stover; brother-in-law, Greg Back; sisters-in-law, Donna Back and Susan Metcalf; special friends, Annette Burnside, Tonya Dunn, Lisa Johnson, Leslie Frost, and Lisa Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rhonda was first and foremost a devoted family woman. Her love for her family knew no bounds. Whether it was the sparkle in her eye when talking about her children, or the pride she felt in her grandchildren's achievements, Rhonda's family was her greatest source of happiness and purpose. She poured her heart into creating a home filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Beyond her family, Rhonda had a passion for rock 'n' roll karaoke that was nothing short of legendary. Under the spotlight, she transformed into "Rockin' Rhonda," belting out classic tunes with gusto and infectious energy. Her enthusiasm was contagious, turning every karaoke night into a memorable event where she radiated joy and a zest for life.

Despite her outgoing karaoke persona, Rhonda was also known for her quieter side. She was an introvert who found comfort in her own thoughts and cherished moments of peace. Yet, in the virtual world of Facebook, Rhonda blossomed into a social butterfly. Her thoughtful posts, kind comments, and genuine interest in others made her a beloved presence in the digital community she cherished.

Rhonda's life reminds us of the beauty in simplicity, the power of love, and the importance of staying true to oneself. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and rock 'n' roll that will echo in our hearts forever.

A visitation will be held Friday, July 12 from 12PM to 2PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria.  The funeral service will begin at 2PM with burial to follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery where Rhonda will be laid to rest next to her children, Shane and Kristi.  A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Eaton Country Club.
