Raymond Mogle
age 86, of West Alexandria, OH passed away peacefully at home on Saturday Sept. 23, 2023. Raymond was born on November 2, 1936 in Braffetsville, OH to Hiram and Elma Mae (Shewman) Mogle.
A man of diverse interests, Raymond had a passion for the great outdoors and a love for fishing that was unmatched. He found solace and joy in the rhythm of the waves and the thrill of a catch. Additionally, Raymond was known for his dedication to local farmers, offering his assistance and expertise to help them farm effectively and sustainably.
One of Raymond's simple pleasures in life was indulging in sweets and ice cream – Neapolitan was his favorite. His sweet tooth was legendary, and he found genuine happiness in the simple delight of a sugary treat. Together with his loving wife, they embarked on numerous adventures, riding their cherished gold wing motorcycles across the vast expanse of the country, creating cherished memories and exploring the beauty of America.
Family was at the center of Raymond's heart, and he loved spending quality time playing board games and card games with them. His mischievous spirit shone through when he playfully bent the rules and cheated during the games, bringing laughter and joy to those gathered around the table.
Raymond Mogle will be remembered not only for his dedication and service to his country but also for his love for family, his zest for life, and his ability to make ordinary moments extraordinary. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a sense of adventure that will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him. He was a man whose life was defined by love, adventure, and a desire to bring joy to those around him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Lois and Alice, and his beloved fur babies; Tiny and Suzie. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 61 years; Theresia Mogle, and his daughters; Ramona Diblasi and Elma Stafford, 4 grandchildren; Sarah Mogle, Jamie Hunt, Carl Armstrong, and Julie Armstrong, his 7 greatgrandchildren; Paityn, Carson, Liam, Aviah, Memphis, Evie and Scilla, and his 2 sisters; Carrie and Dora.
A visitation will be held Monday, October 2, 2023 at Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center from 11:00AM to 1:00PM with a funeral promptly starting at 1:00PM with Pastor Dan Mershon officiating. Burial to follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery
