Raymond Bernard Thomas

Age 51, of West Alexandria, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. He was born to Bernard & Linda Thomas on October 18, 1970 in Winchester, Indiana.

A 1989 Graduate of Tri-County North High School, where he was an active member in FFA.

Raymond was a hardworking man with many skills. He worked at Cedar Springs and then accepted a position at Wysong Gravel as a heavy equipment operator. Raymond then transferred to Still Water and became an environmental specialist. While working at Still Water, he owned the Corner Cupboard in West Alexandria. Raymond also managed several Marathon Gas Stations in the West Alexandria and Gratis area. He was the proud owner of “Preble County Services” where he was able to put his many talents to work and serve his community.

Raymond loved cars, animals, reading cheesy romance novels and sci-fi books. He was an avid collector of anything and everything, especially items that his children handcrafted for him.

Raymond didn’t know a stranger. He would help anyone and everyone without hesitation. He was a loving father who was always one phone call away and there if you needed him.

He was preceded in death by his father; Bernard Thomas, grandparents; Rollo and Nellie Thomas, and maternal grandfather; Raymond Magee.

He is survived by his mother; Linda Thomas, Grandmother; Joanne Magee , Brothers; Shawn (Jolene McDavid) Thomas, and Chris (Christine) Thomas; his sons, Justin (Leslie) Thomas, and Matthew Thomas, Daughters; Ashlee Cantrell-Thomas (Cody Fultz), Chellce Thomas, and Caitlan McKinney, grandsons; Dartanyan, Tristan, Niklaus, Gabriel, and Jacob, his loving fat cat; Nice girl, and best friend; Tony Cruea.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center, 3377 US Rt. 35, West Alexandria, OH. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Preble Memory Gardens to help with Funeral expenses.
