Ralph Osborne
92, a long-time resident of New Lebanon, passed away peacefully at Dayton VA Hospice on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
He was born September 15, 1932, in Kingsport, Tennessee, to the late Enloe O. and Elva M. (Barnette) Osborne.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Rochelle Osborne; 2nd wife, Irena Osborne; and twin brother, Roy Osborne.
He is survived by his son, Darryl (Naomi) Osborne; daughter, Robin Osborne; grandsons, Tyler (Ashley) Darney and Timothy Osborne; and great grandson, Landry Darney.
Ralph was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. During his service, he was honored with the Korean Service Medal with the Bronze Service Star, the United Nations Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
After serving his country, Ralph spent 21 years working at General Motors before retiring. In his free time, he enjoyed following Dale Earnhardt on the NASCAR circuit, was a passionate fan of University of Kentucky basketball, and a loyal follower of the Cincinnati Reds baseball team.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 1 from 11AM to 1PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria. The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Jerry Carter officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
