R. Marie Myers

R. Marie Myers, 76, of New Hope, OH, passed away Friday afternoon, November 30, 2018 following a lengthy illness. Born June 18, 1942 in Pennington Gap, VA, she was a one of 11 children born to the the late Emitt and Rachel (Zion) White. She had worked as a rural delivery driver for the Dayton Daily News for many years and earned Carrier of the Year. She also had worked as a cashier and server at the Village Pantry in Eaton and at Dayton Flexible Products. A member of the Rachel Rebecca Lodge #144 of Eaton, she enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers and sisters Doris Hicks, Inez Redwine, Wilson White, Ben White, Emma Ruth Price, Shadrick White, Beatrice Fletcher and "Byrd" White. Survived by husband Donnie B. Myers whom she married July 15, 1960; children Tammie Myers Spence of Richmond, IN and William Donald Myers of Eaton; grandchildren Stephanie Skelton and husband Nelson of Richmond and Matthew Spence and fiance Brandi of Lewisburg, OH; great grandchildren Kayden Skelton, Hailie Spence, Lincoln Skelton, Tylah Skelton, Braelynn Spence and Reagen Burgess; brothers George White and Emitt White both of Dayton, OH. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH.
