Phyllis J. (Kirkman) Collins

76, of Lewisburg, went to be with Jesus on Monday, October 7, 2024.

She was born December 11, 1947, in Corbin, Kentucky, to the late James W. Sr. and Esther E. (Black) Kirkman.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her daughter, Victoria Jean (Long) Collins and brother, James Kirkman, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Clark; son, Arnon Collins, Jr.; granddaughter, Brittany (Hank) Chafin; great grandchildren, Victoria, Jaylee, and Henry; sisters, Sandra (Denzil) Conners and Kimberly (Wayne) Hicks; sister-in-law, Renee Kirkman; and many more family and friends.

Phyllis shared a beautiful life with her husband, Clark. Together, they enjoyed many adventures, particularly their time camping and dirt bike riding through the scenic landscapes of Kentucky. These moments, spent amidst nature, were among the fondest memories they created together.

Of all the roles she cherished, none brought her more joy than being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and the bond they shared was truly special. Phyllis delighted in spending time with them, nurturing them with love, laughter, and the wisdom of her years

Phyllis was also a devoted member of the Plainview Open Bible Church, where she found great joy in serving her church family. Her faith was an essential part of her life, and she touched many hearts through her kindness and generosity.

An incredible cook, Phyllis had a gift for bringing people together through the meals she lovingly prepared. Her kitchen was always filled with warmth and the delicious aroma of her creations, making every gathering feel like home.

A visitation will be held Monday, October 14 from 11AM to 1PM at Harvest Revival Center, 1488 Johnsville-Brookville Rd, Brookville, Ohio 45309.  The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Joshua Grimes officiating.  Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria.
