Peggy J. Newkirk, 82, formerly of Preble County, OH and longtime resident of Rolla, MO, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, March 28, 2012 in Rolla following a lengthy illness. Born in Preble County, she was a daughter of the late Sherman & Elsie (Bunn) Kemp. She was a graduate of West Alexandria High School. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Joseph C. Newkirk in 1962: grandson Caleb Alexander Newkirk: and brother Harold L. Kemp. Survived by children Jalane Brierly & husband Dane of Eaton, OH; Denise Sultz & husband David of Overland Park, KS; and Joseph Newkirk & wife Marilyn of Rolla: 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Friends may call on the family from 10:00 - 11:00 am Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH.
