Paul E. Shock, 82, of LaFollette, TN, and formerly of Brookville and New Lebanon, OH, passed away suddenly on Sunday morning December 4, 2016. Born February 20, 1934, he was the son of Emerson S. & Alta (Brower) Shock. Paul had worked as a sales representative for Cordage Paper of Dayton for 25 years, then retired from Nationwide Paper of Dayton after 5 years. A Master Mason, Paul was also a Shriner and member of the Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Brethren Church in New Lebanon and the United Methodist Church in LaFollette. He formerly served as Mayor of New Lebanon and had been a member of Village Council. Paul is preceded in death by father Emerson S. Shock in 1989, mother Alta Shock in 2008, beloved wife Dorothy Shock in June of 2014, and son Larry Shock in April of 2016. Survived by son Jerry Shock & wife Kimberly of Clinton, TN; daughter-in-law Gay Shock of New Lebanon; 3 grandchildren Jason Shock & wife Shellie, Nichole Snyder & husband Chris, and Zachary Shock; step grandson Chris Landis; 5 great grandchildren Andrew Snyder, Savannah Snyder, Megan Shock, Kaylee Shock and Ezekiel Shock; 2 step great grandchildren Noah and Ethan; along with many close friends in Deerfield Resort in LaFollette. A memorial service for Paul will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Pastor Gene Oburn will officiate. Friends may call on the family from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
