Paul Reed

Paul Ballard Reed, age 73, of New Lebanon, dearly loved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at his home surrounded by his wife and children. Paul retired after 33 years of service with the City of Dayton. He enjoyed the most being with his family, camping and motorcycling. He was preceded in death by his parents: U. Ballard and Thelma (Pennington) Reed and grandchildren: Amber and Charlie Reed. He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Barbara (Lockhart) Reed, children: Kathy Kinder of West Alexandria, Cindy (Gary) Penney of New Lebanon, Paula (Ronnie) Stout of New Lebanon, Brian (Pam) Reed of Clayton, sister: Joyce (Jim) Lockhart of Brookville, 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, August 23, 2010 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Friends may call on the family Sunday, from 2:00 - 5:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Interment Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
