Paul R. Dishman, age 72, of Eaton, OH, passed away Monday morning, April 25, 2011 at his home following an extended illness. Born October 3, 1938 in Science Hill, KY, he was a son to the late William Howard & Dorothy Elizabeth (Godby) Dishman. He served in the US Army from 1960 - 1963. Following his discharge from the Army he worked at Westvaco Manufacturing in Eaton retiring in 1991 after 28 years of service. He was a member of the Eaton Church of God. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Kenneth Dishman. Survived by children Paul R. Dishman, Jr. of Port Charlotte, FL; and Paula A. Letner & husband Jeff of Oxford: grandchildren Khali, J.P. and Brooklyn Dishman; Caleb, Kyle, Cameron and Christian Letner: sisters Opal Powers of Eaton & her special friend Bill Hendricks; Norma Jean New & husband Junior of Union City, IN; and Betty Tate & husband Grady of Camp Verde, AZ: special friend and caregiver Dana Leasure of Brookville, OH: and his buddies and companions Mitzy, Dinky and Buttons. Friends may call on the family from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Eaton Church of God - 1950 US Rt. 35 E. - Eaton, OH. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 PM with Pastor Owens presiding. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Preble County Humane Society - 951 S. Barron St. - Eaton, OH - 45320. Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria.
