Oma (Olinger) Shock, of Beavercreek, OH and formerly of Lanier Twp., Preble County, OH, passed away December 11, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton following a short illness. She was a 1935 graduate of Steele High School in Dayton and was a 1938 graduate of the Good Samaritan School of Nursing, Dayton. She served as a registered nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital, and later at Wright Army Air Field (Wright Patterson AFB) Dayton from 1942 - 1946. She is survived by her son John and daughter-in-law Mary (Morell) Shock of Beavercreek; grandson Eric A. Shock and his wife Crystal, great granddaughter Madison and great grandson Joseph Shock of Salisbury, NC. She was preceded in death in July 1989 by her husband of 48 years Raymond Arthur Shock. At the request of the deceased, there will be a 2 hour visitation from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH; immediately followed by a graveside only service at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
