Norma Jean Vogel

Norma Jean Vogel, 74, of Eaton, OH, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 6, 2019. Born May 21, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Erwin W. and Iva L. (Baxley) Rayle. She worked for 20+ years as a Realtor in the Preble County area and also drove a school bus. In March of 1985 she met Harry Vogel, a truck driver for 40 years. Norma and Harry were married 2 years later on April 4, 1987. Norma wanted to see the country, so she went on to earn her CDL; and Norma and Harry rode and drove together all over the United States and Canada for US Xpress. She was a longtime member and Past Worthy Matron of the Farmersville O.E.S. Chapter # 155 in Farmersville. Norma is survived by husband Harry A. Vogel; sons Steven Patterson (Paula) and Scott Patterson(Dawn); daughters Sondra Wallace, Teresa Vogel, Sharon Vogel (Melissa) and Karen Wellborn; grandchildren Samantha Patterson, Christopher Liming, Michael Patterson (Destiny), Zachary Rodgers, Kyra Patterson, Bradley Patterson, Ava Reid and AJ Wellborn; several great grandchildren; brother Larry Rayle; sister Patti Goad (Steven); and niece Nicole Goad; and Norma's best friend Pam Weadick. Friends may call on the family from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Monday, November 11, 2019 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Services will begin at 4:00 PM with Eastern Star funeral rites and immediately followed by a funeral service with Pastor Angie Schenck presiding. Services will conclude with a brief closing ceremony at the graveside at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
