Norma Jane Clay

Norma Jane (Bingham) Clay, 78, of New Lebanon, OH and longtime resident of the New Lebanon Care Center, passed away Thursday morning, December 29,2016. Norma was born June 2, 1938 in Harlan, KY to the late D.B. & Verna (Hensley) Bingham. She formerly worked at Dayton Press (McCalls Publishing) and several area grocery stores. Later she worked as a cook and server at the New Lebanon American Legion where she was also member of the Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by beloved husband Leonard Clay on November 1, 2015; daughter Regina Hale on January 3, 2016; brothers and sisters Douglas Bingham, Bob Bingham, Don Bingham, Frank Bingham and Rochelle Ann Osborne; son-in-law Jon Hale; grandson-in-law Adam Thomas. Norma is survived by daughterJane Rich of Portland, OR; step son Leonard Clay, Jr. & wife Linda; 3 granddaughters MacKenzie Hale Thomas, Allison Hale and Katie Hale; several step grandchildren; brother Dennis Bingham & wife Ann of West Alexandria; along with nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
