Noala Pansy Hobbs

Noala Pansy Hobbs, 84, of Celina, OH, and former 60 year resident of Dayton, OH, passed into eternity Saturday afternoon, July, 23, 2016. Born January 21, 1932 in Sigma, VA, she was the eldest of 8 children born to the late Axley & Nancy Mae (Herron) Lawson. She retired as a Teacher's Assistant after 25 years with the Dayton Board of Education. She loved to cook "Southern" food, enjoyed gardening; but most of all, she loved spoiling her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Pansy is preceded in death on June 11, 1999 by her husband of 45 years Clayton C. Hobbs; sisters Helen Nix and Nellie Garrett; brothers Judge, Albert, Harvey, Ellis and Dennis Lawson. Survived by children Kitty (Hobbs) Makley & husband Robert, Tim Hobbs & wife Connie, and Danny Joe Hobbs: grandchildren Jessica (Makley) Adams & husband Nick, Nathan Makley, and Ryan Sims; great granddaughter Mya Kenzlie Makley; along with many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call on the family from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with family friend Monnie Bush presiding.
