Naomi Showalter

Naomi J. Showalter, of Eaton, OH, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 31, 2011. Born October 29, 1925 in Lanier Twp. Preble County, OH, she was a daughter to the late Joseph & Sylvia (Koontz) Wise. She was a member of and Treasurer for the West Alexandria Senior Citizens. During WWII, she worked at Old Reliable Coffee Co. in Dayton; and later in life as a Nurses Aide at Harborside Healthcare in New Lebanon and Heartland Nursing Home in Eaton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Howard S. Showalter in 1977: brother Howard Wise and sister Ruby Spitler. Survived by children Terry A. Showalter & wife Karen of Eaton; Bonnie Phillips & husband Doug of West Alexandria; and Rick Showalter & wife Sandy of West Alexandria: 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
