Nancy Schaeffer

Nancy L. Schaeffer, age 92, formerly of New Lebanon, OH, passed away Saturday morning, June 2, 2012. Born in Frankfort, KY, she was a daughter of the late Charles & Kathryn (Brewer) Bridges. From 1968 - 1985 she worked as a sales clerk for Rike's Department Stores, beginning at the downtown Dayton store and later at the Kettering location. She then worked for several years in sales at the Kitchen Classics store in the Town & Country Plaza. For over 20 years, she attended the Oasis Church in Middletown, OH. In her last 3 months, she was well cared for as a resident of Brookhaven Care Center in Brookville, OH. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sister Francis L. Morris. Survived by daughter Rebecca S. Thompson & husband Greg of West Alexandria, OH; son Richard A. Schaeffer & wife Susan of Dayton: grandchildren Jennifer S. Day, Kristin Schaeffer and Matthew Thompson: 10 great grandchildren: and longtime friend Jean Smith of Beavercreek, OH. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Tim Sheets presiding. Interment Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Alexandria.
