Mrs. Stover Mumpower

Marjorie S. Mumpower, age 88, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away peacefully on Friday morning October 22, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Born November 3, 1921 in Jasper Twp., Preble County, OH, she was a daughter of the late Vernon L. & Eliza (Emmert) Stover. She had formerly worked as a telephone switchboard operator in West Alexandria, Elder Beerman Department Stores, University of Dayton and Miami Valley Hospital. She had also worked as a school bus driver with St. John's Transportation for New Lebanon Schools. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in New Lebanon. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death on March 31, 2009 by husband Ralph H. Mumpower, Sr.; son Ralph H. Mumpower, Jr. on September 16, 2010: brothers and sisters Fred and Robert Stover, Carrie Mae Nugent, Mary Alice Drake and Patricia Ann Sims. Survived by sons Ritch Mumpower & wife Patrice of Dayton and Michael Mumpower & wife Terri of Eaton; daughters Nancy Roberts of New Lebanon and Mary Heeter & husband Timothy of New Lebanon: 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren: numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion. Friends may call on the family from 1:00 - 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
