Mrs. Pauline Kirchhofer

Pauline Kirchhofer, 81, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017. Born September 16, 1936, she was the youngest of seven children born to Oscar H. and Luella (Holliman) Smith. At an early age, Pauline began work at Wayne Candies in Ft. Wayne, IN. She married her sweetheart Willard F. Kirchhofer on May 6, 1967. After marrying, she and Willard moved to Orville, OH where they started a family. There, they raised their sons Gary and Mark. Throughout her life, Pauline worked cleaning homes, offices and churches. After the boys were grown and on their own, Pauline and Willard moved to Winfield, AL, where she was born and raised and could be closer to her family. They stayed in Winfield for 19 years, before moving to New Lebanon 5 years ago to be near their sons and their families. The most important thing in Pauline's life was knowing, loving and serving Jesus. Jesus was in her home, her marriage and instilled into her son's lives. Wherever she and Willard lived, they were a part of the Assembly of God Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Leon Smith and wife Edith, Flora Miles and husband Donald, Ira Smith, Jennie Lee Lyons and husband Grady, Mary Ellen Chapman, and Lester Smith. Survived by husband of 50 years Willard F. Kirchhofer of New Lebanon, sons Gary Kirchhofer and wife Marcia of Brookville, OH and Mark Kirchhofer and wife Beverly of New Lebanon: grandchildren Hannah, Josiah and Elijah Kirchhofer, and Audra and Emma Kirchhofer, sister in law Peggy Smith of Winfield, AL, brother in law Oliver Chapman of Florida, along with numerous nieces and nephews. All are invited to the service remembering and honoring Pauline's life at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the New Lebanon Assembly of God Church - 1574 W. Main St. - New Lebanon, OH.
