Morris E. Parks
71, of Eaton, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
He was born December 2, 1951, to the late Leon I. Parks and Grace I. (Ramsey) Parks-Darr.
In addition to his parents, Morris was preceded in death by his brother, Rick Parks.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Leona Parks; children, Tammie (Clyde) King, Ronnie (Tammy) DePoyster, Kathy Pieratt, and Charles (Leah) DePoyster; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Morris was a man of many passions, and his face would light up with an infectious smile whenever he stepped foot into a billiards room. Immensely skilled and competitive, he found great joy in playing pool, mesmerizing onlookers with his precision shots and strategic prowess. Many hours were spent in friendly matches and heated competitions, forging enduring friendships through the shared love of the game.
Beyond the billiards table, Morris soared to great heights as a licensed pilot. He possessed an adventurous spirit and a love for the open skies. From the cockpit of his airplane, he would explore the world with awe and wonder, relishing in the freedom and exhilaration of flight.
While Morris's passion for pool and aviation brought him immense joy, it was his beloved wife, Leona, who truly held his heart. Their love was a beacon of light, radiating warmth and tenderness to all those fortunate enough to witness it. Morris and Leona were inseparable, their unwavering bond serving as an inspiration to all who knew them. Their love story was one of unwavering support, laughter, and shared dreams, a testament to the profound love they shared.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11:00am, with lunch to be served afterwards, at The First Church of the Nazarene in Eaton, OH (201 East Lexington Road, Eaton, OH 45320)
