Minnie Louise “Lou” Dennis

87, of Eaton, formerly West Alexandria, peacefully went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

She was born April 2, 1937, in Russellville, Kentucky, to the late Jasper and Evie J. (Gilliam) Knight.

In addition to her parents, Lou was preceded in death by her husband, James Kenneth Dennis; son, Johnnie O. Reeves; and sister, Earlene Ogles.

She is survived by her grandson, John (Shirae) Reeves, and their children, Lawrence, Wesley, and Marylyn; granddaughter, Karla Reeves-Brewster, and her children, Matthew and Kaitlynn; and many more extended family members and friends.

In the 1970s, Lou and Kenny managed the Townhouse Restaurant, and then they ventured into the roofing business, establishing the Dennis Roofing Company. With commitment and craftsmanship, they built a reputation for excellence, serving the community with integrity and professionalism for many fruitful years.

But Lou's impact extended far beyond the realms of business. With a nurturing spirit, she lent her compassionate touch as a home health aide and graced Maple Gardens Nursing Home with her warmth and care. Her genuine empathy and dedication to serving others illuminated the lives of those in need, leaving a profound imprint on the hearts she touched.

Known for her wisdom and approachability, Lou was a beacon of guidance to all who sought her counsel. Her words were infused with sincerity and wisdom, offering comfort and clarity to those navigating life's challenges. Her door was always open, and her listening ear was accompanied by sage advice that resonated deeply with those fortunate enough to receive it.

Above all, she treasured her family above everything else. Time spent with loved ones was her greatest joy, and her devotion to these bonds was evident in every moment shared. Whether gathered around the dinner table or embarking on cherished adventures, her love knew no bounds, leaving a legacy of warmth and connection that will endure for generations to come.

A graveside service will take place Saturday, May 18 at 11AM at Bear Creek Cemetery, 172 N. Union Road, Dayton, 45417, with Pastor Scott Moler officiating.
