Michael S. Terrill

Michael S. Terrill, 67, of Englewood, OH, passed away on Saturday morning, August 19, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family. Mike was born July 17, 1950, he was a son of the late Seldon and Dorothy E. (Good) Terrill. A proud and patriotic American, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps in July of 1967, served one tour of duty in Vietnam, and was discharged to the USMC Reserve in October of 1969. Mike had worked various jobs over the years, including the Maintenance Department of Miami Valley RTA for 10+ years, a truck driver for Interbake Foods, a Licensed Real Estate Agent, a School Bus Driver for Northmont Schools, and as a Security Guard and Private Investigator. He was a longtime member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Vandalia. Preceded in death by parents Seldon Terrill in 1972, mother Dorothy in 2012; son Steven Terrill in February 2012; brother Marvin Terrill in Dec. 2016 and sister-in-law Fran Terrill in October 2000. He is survived by wife Carolyn A. (McGriff) Terrill whom he married on August 26, 1978: children Dawnyel Durham and husband James of Tipp City, OH; Rob Terrill and wife Amber of Beavercreek, OH: grandchildren Christopher, Aaron, Brett, Kelsey, A.J., Kasie, Jason, Tiffany, Brittney and Kora: great grandson Ethan and one great grandchild on the way: daughter-in-law Lisa Terrill of Montevallo, AL: brothers and sister Larry (Zula) Strawser of New Lebanon, OH; Robert (Val) Strawser of Grass Valley, CA; James (Betty) Terrill of Brookville, OH; and twin sister Patricia (Al) Pound of Dayton, OH: numerous nieces and nephews: and special recognition to family caregivers April and Annie Hostetler and Barb Halsey. Friends may call on the family from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Dennis Phillips officiating.
